Software Engineer (.NET / C#)

Location: West of Ireland (Onsite – 5 days per week)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

A well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation in the west of Ireland is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join its in-house development team. This is a hands-on role focused on building and maintaining business-critical applications that support production, operations, and enterprise systems.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders and fellow engineers to design, develop, and deploy reliable software solutions, primarily using Microsoft technologies and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and .NET

• Build and support backend services and APIs

• Work with Azure for cloud hosting, deployments, and integrations

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions

• Maintain code quality through testing, reviews, and best practices

• Support and enhance existing systems as business needs evolve

Required Experience & Skills

• 3+ years’ professional experience as a Software Engineer

• Strong experience with C# and .NET

• Practical experience using Microsoft Azure (e.g. App Services, Azure SQL, Functions, DevOps, etc.)

• Experience with SQL databases

• Solid understanding of software development best practices

• Ability to work independently in an onsite environment

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks or desktop applications
